Tuesday's so slow
Another good day. Andrew weighed 3.48 kg this morning, gaining exactly the targeted 20 gm / day - hurray! Yesterday afternoon he got his first shots, simultaneously even - the nurses didn't want to make him go through it twice so they double teamed him & gave him both at the exact same time. He got really red, cried about 2 times and fell right back to sleep. He also got his newborn hearing screening which was normal in both ears. It was really nice to have the day's agenda include healthy baby stuff like shots & therapy; it kinda confirmed that he really is doing well. Not much else to report at this time. Steve will definitely get some more video up today now that we have the cameras back.

It's so great to hear such happy news of progress. It's even good to hear news of stability but progress is awesome.
Love and Prayers,
Lynn
Can't wait for the video/pics...I think your timing is perfect. Again, one can only be patient for so long (lucky for you guys...patience is my "virtue" ha!) - besides, Andrew's gained 40 to 60 gm's since I was there, so I probably won't even recognize him anymore!!! :) :) :)
yeah!!!
He is doing so great! He has two really great examples in you two. I can't wait to see your Mom this weekend Betsy. We think about and pray for your little Gods Boy all the time....Hugs and kisses...

You are blessed to have this time with Andrew to literally watch him grow. Its wonderful to hear he's progressing nicely.
I wonder if you would feel comfortable posting the Ronald McDonald House address and number in case anyone wants to donate to this fabulous organization.
Folks, while the room Betsy and Steve are in at RMH is practically free, its not quite free
($15/day). With the length of stay they are projected to have, it would be great opportunity for us to do family projects to share with Betsy, Steve, and Andrew. Skip a trip to the movies and send the money, kids might consider doing extra chores, etc. It is a perfect opportunity to put our faith into action.
I know somew families have done this already. Thank you!
Just something to consider...

Poor baby! Shots are a good thing but hurt to watch them get. Poor kid, all the crap he's been through and then these "sweet" nurses come in and jab him like a pin cushion. You'd think he paid his dues. I have to say though it's wonderful to hear these ordinary baby things going on with our extraordianry baby!
Andrew - Your Aunt Christy loves you! Betsy and Steve I love you both very much. It was good to see you Saturday!
Dear Steve betsy and baby andrew:
We love you guys. It's amazing what God can do. This is another miracle baby!
Here is a verse that gave me a lot of strength to just trust Him during my pregnancy...
"The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him." Nahum 1:7
