Tuesday Night
We are up here in the room, visiting Dizzy. Once again, he is making a marvelous recovery. My God! this boy is so...... something.... he is just awesome. even though he is still heavily sedated and 'asleep', we just stare at him and talk to him and, well, that's really it. Like I said before, the recovery is supposed to be slow and steady. He really needs to build up his strength through usage, and that just takes time. We had a good friend Todd come by today and prayed with us, it was encouraging, and nice to see someone from the 'old crew' (I knew him since... 6th grade). I also talked to Greg out at KSC and he just let me know how they are all thinking and praying for Andrew and us. There is one little update about Dizzy that I can mention; everytime he initiates a breath, the ventilator picks up at a pre-determined point based on the current strength of his lungs. Well, every time this happens, there is a little "quack" sound.. yes, a "quack"- just like a duck. Bess says it's endearing... I say it's a quack. But at any rate, it is cute... in fact, I am going to make the 10 minute walk back to our room, pick up our video camera, video tape him quacking, and then spend a good half hour uploading it for your listening pleasure... I will be right back.... in about an hour
