Saturday Evening

Sorry we didn't update sooner. We got up early this morning to spend time with Andrew & be there when surgery time came. They decided not to do the surgery this am though because the x ray showed the material moved down in the bowels. (There was still barium in his system so they didn't need to repeat the g-i study - to answer your ? mom) At that point Steve & I went back to bed because we were both a bit sleep deprived. He did have another pretty impressive poop earlier this evening which was met with much rejoicing. : ) They have just started him on some pedialite through his g-tube at a very slow rate & will be watching how he does with it. Right now there isn't any schedule for surgery, but they will be keeping a close eye on him. We are sill hoping he won't need surgery, but I'm also hopeful that it isn't a long painful process to resolve. He did have a pretty good day. We had some good play & snuggle time. He was fussy a little bit ago like he was uncomfortable but he got some medicine & is sleeping in the cutest way (face buried in Steve's chest) right now. He hasn't needed a lot of pain medicine though. So we live in hope - quite literally these days. And thank you as always for the love & prayers. We are blessed.
