6 months old!

Andrew loves his new play mat that his Machie bought him. He has a blast playing literally for hours. He has a funny trick where he gets his foot in the rings of the cow toy. At first I thought he got his foot stuck accidentally & I freed it like a good mother just to turn around to find his foot right back. He's doing a lot more with his hands & feet purposefully, which is fun! He seems to be a bit of a blankie boy these days - hugging & chewing on whatever blanket he is sleeping with & neglecting his binky. He's got rolling from back to side & side to back down pat. He doesn't always do it when we are trying to get him to in play time, but he does so masterfully when we are trying to change his pants or bathe him. He also gets himself in funny positions in his crib. Getting closer to getting all the way over to his belly. We are just starting to get some happy sounds out of him. I don't know why, maybe it's common with babies who have been in the hospital so long, but he wasn't making a voice other than crying until just recently. Luckily his mommy is a speech therapist (probably it's got nothing to do with it, but I have fun doing "therapy" with him : ) Every now & then Daddy lets him chomp on a strawberry or lick a sour icebreaker to get his taste buds going. No teeth yet, I actually think they have retracted a bit. That's okay, it's nice to have a break from the discomfort. Anyhow, hopefully our computer will be in good condition again soon. Thank you all so much for the past 6 months. We couldn't have done it without your prayers & support! God is good!, our boy is 6 months old!

It doesn't seem possible that Andrew is 6 months old! Teresa (mom) and I were just talking about that this weekend - it is amazing. I'm so thankful that you guys get to celebrate this one at HOME!!! Thank you God for the gift of Andrew!

Another thought...I think Kalee was around 6 months old when she stopped using her boppy and replaced it with her thumb (which she still sneaks in, to this day!) And, of course, we all know how attached she is to her aha!

Can't wait to see video of Andrew making noises...they are my favorite, you know!

Oh, I love this smiley boy. He is so cute, and what a pleasure to play with. I just can't get over to see him soon enough. His Daddy and Mommy are very good to me, letting me come by so often. He is a delight to my heart and I think he is recognizing me. We smile at each other a lot. Guess you guessed I am a pround grandma. I love you all
