Cardiac Cath complete
The doctor just came in & told us the cath is complete & went well. They didn't find anything major to explain Andrew's continued fragile condition. Excellent news is that his pulmonary veins still look pretty good, which was a major concern. There was some stenosis (narrowing) at one end of his shunt, but it will likely support him until his 2nd phase surgery. It is likely that they will push his next open heart surgery up as much as possible instead of waiting until he's around 4-6 months old. The team will discuss the results as a whole to decide if an interim surgery is necessary - we hope not - it dosn't seem too likely if they decide to do the 2nd phase surgery ASAP & if Andrew maintains a 'steady' course until then. Please continue to keep Andrew in your prayers. It's very important for him to stay healthy as he just dosn't have the reserves to keep his body going & fight an infection. We thank God that He has preserved our precious boy this far & have faith that He will complete the work He has begun in His Andrew.

Praise Jesus! Andrew is such a precious little boy. I am thankful that not much was discovered. Is he back on lots of lines and meds again? Thank you for letting us know the results and give him a kiss for me. I love all three of you.

Thank you Lord...what a great report! That is just great!! So relieved to read this blog, but know you guys still have a long road. We'll just keep praying for strength, in the meantime, and for an explanation of the fragility.
We love you guys - can't wait to see you in 6 days!!
Hey Betsy, Steve and Andrew,
Just wanted to remind the three of you that you rarely leave our thoughts and prayers. I read this verse this morning and thought of you guys, "Call on me when you are in trouble ,and I will rescue you,and you will give me glory." Psalm 50:15. I believe you are doing a great job... I love all of you.
